The Philanthropic Foodies will host their 7th Annual Culinary Showcase to benefit two Syracuse area charities. The event features local chefs, live and silent auctions and live entertainment.

Whole hog, sweet pea puree, peanut butter ice cream, smoked corn salad and pistachio pesto pasta are just some of the foods available at this year's Philanthropic Foodies fundraiser.

The 2018 Philanthropic Foodies Culinary Showcase features 18 local chefs and will be at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown on Sunday.

Eat and drink well for a good cause at Philanthropic Foodies, where 18 local chefs, chocolatiers  and other culinary talents will be serving an expansive menu of food offerings made with products from local purveyors, all paired with beers, wines, cocktails and local coffees. 

It is time to celebrate as Philanthropic Foodies is hosting their Seventh Annual Culinary Showcase in Central New York. Co-Founder Renee Duffy announces that Friends of Dorothy House and The Shamrock Animal Fund will be this year’s recipients.

The event allows visitors to eat, drink and give back to two local charities and will take place at the Marriott Syracuse on Sunday, July 29th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at The Marriott Syracuse Downtown. 

"Eat, drink and give back" is the mantra of Philanthropic Foodies, a forward-thinking culinary showcase taking place on July 29 in Syracuse (about two-and-a-half hours west of Saratoga Springs).

A little more than seven years ago, self-proclaimed foodies Renee and Tim Duffy were sitting with local chef Kevin Gentile, pitching him an idea that would eventually become Philanthropic Foodies, the annual event that’s raised more than $270,000 for local nonprofits.

The seventh annual Philanthropic Foodies culinary showcase, taking place on Sunday, July 29 at Marriott Syracuse Downtown from 4-8 p.m., will benefit Friends of Dorothy House and Shamrock Animal Fund.

The sixth annual Philanthropic Foodies culinary showcase, taking place on Sunday, July 30 at Rosamond Gifford Zoo from 4:30 to 8 p.m., will benefit Friends of Dorothy House and GiGi's Playhouse Syracuse.

The 6th Annual Philanthropic Foodies fundraiser will be at Syracuse’s Rosamond Gifford Zoo on Sunday. The event features food from some of the area’s best-known restaurants and chefs. The evening benefits the Friends of Dorothy House and GiGi’s Playhouse Syracuse.

For those who appreciate good food for an even better cause, check out the sixth annual Philanthropic Foodies Culinary Showcase at Rosamond Gifford Zoo. The event benefits Friends of Dorothy House, a non-profit organization to benefit those diagnosed with AIDS and GiGi's Playhouse Syracuse, the local outpost of the national non-profit organization that offers therapeutic and educational programs for children with Down Syndrome.

For the sixth year in a row, Philanthropic Foodies will be hosting one of Central New York’s premier culinary showcases.  Over a dozen of the area’s best chefs will be serving samples of some of their amazing appetizers, main courses and desserts. The fifth annual Philanthropic Foodies culinary showcase, taking place on Sunday, July 31 at SKY Armory from 4 to 8 p.m., will benefit Friends of Dorothy House, CancerConnects, The First Tee Syracuse, The Samaritan Center and On Point for College.

Blogger, vintage lover and cocktail shaker The Society Gurl (Jamie Ann Owens) visited Sky Amory in downtown Syracuse for the Philantrophic Foodies event.

It was a night full of good food, for some good causes. The 4th annual Philanthropic Foodies fundraiser featured culinary tastings from 11 area chefs and restaurants. There were also beverage pairings from local breweries, wineries and restaurants, as well as a live and silent auction.
