The sixth annual Philanthropic Foodies culinary showcase, taking place on Sunday, July 30 at Rosamond Gifford Zoo from 4:30 to 8 p.m., will benefit Friends of Dorothy House and GiGi's Playhouse Syracuse.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The sixth annual Philanthropic Foodies culinary showcase, taking place on Sunday, July 30 at Rosamond Gifford Zoo from 4:30 to 8 p.m., will benefit Friends of Dorothy House and GiGi's Playhouse Syracuse.
Philanthropic Foodies consists of 15 tasting stations with food prepared on-site by Syracuse area chefs. This year’s chefs include: Chef Jason Jessmore, Aster Pantry; Chef Eva Zaczynski, Eva’s European Sweets; Pit Master Dick Benedetto, Smoke Incorporated BBQ; Chef Anthony Donofrio, Modern Malt; Chef Chance Bear, Lincklaen House; Chef Matt Riddett, Empire Brewing Company; Chef Mark Bullis, Bull & Bear Roadhouse; Pizzaiolo John Vigliotti, Peppino’s Restaurant and Catering; Chef Sam Mondello, Vince’s Gourmet Imports; Chef Sarah Hassler, The Stoop Kitchen; Chef Brandon Gore, Modern Malt Bakeshop; Chef Luke Szabo, Scratch Farmhouse Catering; Chef Danny Vault, The York; Chef DeAnna Germano, Chef4Rent; and Pat Gannon, Gannon’s Ice Cream.
Tasting stations are paired with beverages provided by local businesses, including: Dr. Konstantin Frank Vinifera Wine Cellars, Middle Ages Brewing Company, Opici Family Wines, Empire Brewing Company, Brewery Ommegang, Modern Malt, Treleaven Wines, Vine & Barrel, 1911 Spirits, and Peaks Coffee Co.
Philanthropic Foodies also features a live and silent auction, a wine wall, and live entertainment provided by local jazz duo and SAMMY-award winning musicians Ashley and Jimmy Cox.
